Recently I was asked by Stapleton to try some of their yogurt and to write a blogpost about it. But instead of just trying it and reviewing; I decided to use it in a yogurt pie and to share the recipe with you. And of course I’ll also tell you a bit about Stapleton and if their yogurt is any good (spoiler alert: IT IS DELICIOUS!). Keep on reading if you’re curious about how to make this gorgeous pie!
Stapleton was founded by Peter and Carol Duncan in 1975 on what was a traditional family dairy farm near Torrington in North Devon. Nowadays, the company is still based at the farm. The creamy milk Stapleton uses comes from a local herd of Jersey cows. The cows are kept at Awsland farm, which is just three miles away from the Stapleton farm. The cows are kept outside for most of the year (approx 10 months), which I think is great! That’s the way it should be.
I really enjoyed the yogurt Stapleton sent me. It was super creamy and fruity! My favourite is their blueberry flavour ❤ I could eat that aaaaaall day long. I also loved the pie I made with the yogurt. It was delicious! Especially because there is so much fruit in the yogurt!
My opinion about this yoghurt is that it’s great. You should definitely give it a try! Not only because it tastes heavenly but also because they make sure the cows, which produce the milk they use, are taken good care of. That really is a major plus for me.
Stapleton yogurt pie recipe
- 300g Stapleton raspberry yogurt
- 300g Stapleton sweet & sour cherry yogurt
- 400g Stapleton strawberry & blueberry yogurt
- 1 pack Dr. Oetker yogurt pie
- 60g butter
Pour the crumbs (which come in the Dr. Oetker pie pack) into a bowl. Then melt the butter and add this to the crumbs. Stir well.
Pour the mix into a pie pan and press the mixture firmly onto the bottom of the pan using a spoon.
Put the pie pan in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
Add all of the yogurts in a bowl mix them well. Then add the pie mix (from the Dr. Oetker pack) to the yoghurt and mix for about three minutes.
Take the pie pan from the fridge and pour the yogurt mix into it. Then put it back in the fridge and keep it there for at least two and a half hour.
Clean some fresh strawberries and take the pie out of the fridge (once you’ve waited two and a half hour). Serve the pie with the strawberries.
