This DIY is inspired by the wrap bracelets of Chan Luu. However this DIY will be a lot cheaper than those bracelets! You can choose your own beads and this means that the color combinations are endless!
- Turquoise beads
- Gold beads
- 3mm leather cord
- Lobster clasp
- Two end clasps
- Jump rings
- Miyuki beading thread or black sewing thread
- Two needles
- Weaving frame
Start by measuring your wrist and by cutting the leather cord. Now attach the cord to the weaving frame.
Cut off a piece of beading/sewing thread and attach a needle to each end. Now use the thread to tie the pieces of leather cord together.
Now it’s time to start beading! Start by putting the left needle trough the left hole of the bead and pull it trough. Do the same with the right needle and the right side of the bead. Now your left needle goes to the right and your right needle goes to the left.
Repeat step 3 until all your beads are attached. Once all your beads are attached tie a knot just like you did when you started. If necessary cut of the excess leather cord.
Put a small drop of glue at each end of the bracelet and then put the end clasp on it. Make sure you squeeze it hard otherwise it might fall off.
Use a jump ring to attach the lobster clasp on one side of the bracelet and attach another jump ring to the other side of the bracelet. If the bracelet turns out to be too small or you want to give it as a present and you don’t know his/her wrist measurement you can add an extension chain.
And with that you’re…
