DIY candles

What you’ll need

– Wax
– Candle wick
– Glass jar
– Crayon or candle dye
– Some old magazines

Step 1
 step1Start off with melting the wax by putting it boiling water.

Step 2

step2.2Once your wax is melted put in some candle dye or a crayon to give it some color. Use a spoon to stir the wax until the candle dye/crayon is completely dissolved.

Step 3


Schermafbeelding 2015-07-07 om 21.40.42Use the magazines to stabilize the glass jar. Put the candle wick inside of the jar and slowly pour the melted wax in. Let the wax harden completely before continuing with step 4.

Step 4

Schermafbeelding 2015-07-07 om 21.36.14Repeat step 1 and 2. Now turn your glass container to the other side (make sure the magazines are still stabilizing it) and pour in another color of wax. Let this layer of wax harden before continuing with step 5.

Step 5

Schermafbeelding 2015-07-07 om 21.35.37Repeat step 1 and 2. Let the glass jar stand up straight and pour in the last wax layer. Let this layer dry and you’re done! 

if you want your candle to have some scent you can use candle fragrance. Just put this in the melted wax together with the crayon/candle dye.
